Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, who entered the Brussels Conservatory at the age of twelve, worked under pianist Eduardo Del Pueyo until the end of his studies at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. In 1964, he was the youngest winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, winning the third prize. He performs in a vast repertoire, as a soloist, with orchestra but also in chamber music formation with musicians such as the Ysaÿe Quartet or the Enesco Quartet. He is a professor at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel and is often called upon to sit on the jury of international competitions, including the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
